Winona State University - Rochester (WSU - Rochester) has been an integral part of Rochester and the surrounding area since 1917. Community is an essential part of who they are. This summer you can find them not only at Thursdays on First & 3rd, but at events across Rochester. All of their educational programming is designed to meet not only workforce needs, but also the needs of people achieving their personal and professional goals.
Thursdays on First & 3rd would not be possible without the support of businesses in the Rochester community. Thanks to WSU - Rochester and our numerous other partners, we bring musicians, artists, craftspeople, and restaurateurs together, uniting residents and visitors alike.
MEET WINONA STATE UNIVERSITY - ROCHESTER
WSU - Rochester has been an integral part of the Rochester community since 1917. They’ve expanded their programming since the early days when they began offering classes in education courses designed for teachers over the summer break. From there, they began adding nursing classes and continued to grow decade after decade. However, one thing has been central to their core values, the community. Whether it’s business, computer science, education, nursing, social work, or individualized studies, WSU - Rochester is proud to continue serving the southeast region of Minnesota with distinction. Through offering upper level transfer course programs to complete your bachelor’s degree, as well as numerous undergraduate minors and graduate programs, they aim to tailor the educational experience to each individual student’s career goals.
WSU - Rochester is excited to be doing a number of things in the community; fun things like Thursdays on First & 3rd, Rochesterfest, Dogs Downtown, and hosting Yoga on Peace Plaza to name a few. So, when you’re out and about be sure to stop by and say hi as Winona State University - Rochester has over 4,200 alumni just in Rochester! They would love to see you this year.
Community is what matters most to their faculty, staff, and students. Today, they offer a wider variety of programming for both transfer and graduate students. All of their programming is designed to meet not only workforce needs, but also the needs of people achieving their personal and professional goals.
