Pop by on National Popcorn Day! The Rochester Downtown Alliance is celebrating National Popcorn day early this year by handing out complimentary popcorn bags at select Downtown Rochester locations on Friday, January 18. RDA employees will be distributing bags from 11am-1pm, while supplies last, so stay tuned as we release drop-off location details!
While our favorite popcorn provider, Carroll’s Corn, is supplying us with their extra delicious classic “Triple Mix” to hand out on January 18, we couldn’t help wondering what other types of flavors people enjoy. So, here are five of the most a-maize-ingly unique popcorn flavors we found. You be the judge and let us know if you’d be willing to try any of these!
LOADED BAKED POTATO
Nothing quite says comfort food like potatoes, cheese, bacon and sour cream. That’s what Kernel Encore was thinking when they put it all together into one tangy seasoning to create Loaded Baked Potato Popcorn!

LEMON HEAVEN
Imagine your grandma's famous lemon bars ,but with a...crunch? Popcornopolis, a California-based company made just that with the perfect mix of lemon zest and classic popcorn salt with their Lemon Heaven Popcorn.
BACON AND MAPLE SYRUP
We found a company called PortleBay that's bringing back the nostalgia of early mornings of pancakes and bacon with their Bacon and Maple Syrup Popcorn. The smokey bacon flavor paired with the subtle syrup will have it feeling like Sunday morning.
EGGNOG
Just in time for the holiday season, Kernel Encore brings you Eggnog Popcorn! Whether you love it or you hate it, Eggnog is one of Kernel Encore's most popular holiday flavors.
