Two New Crafts to Brighten Up Your Fall

The fall season is upon us, and while we miss summer, we're excited for another great Fall Fest in Downtown Rochester! This year, we're bringing new crafts for even more family fun!

Fall Fest Tote Bags

Back for 2018, there will be complimentary Fall Fest tote bags on site thanks to Olmsted Medical Center. There will be stencils and markers ready for you to design your bag. You can use a stencil or draw your own creation, the possibilities are endless!

New Crafts in 2018

 1. Our first of two new crafts is leaf foxes. Leaves are great for making piles and jumping in throughout the fall season; this is your chance to transform them into new friends to take home! Decorate your leaf with eyes, a nose, and a magnet to display on your fridge!

2. Also new this year, autumn tree painting. Have you ever noticed when you look at your hand and arm, it kind of looks like a tree? So did we! Outline your/your child's hand and arm to create the base of your tree and its branches. Then decorate it with your favorite fall colors in the sky, on the ground, and everywhere else surrounding your tree. It's sure to be a vibrant painting full of life; perfect for that empty space on your refrigerator!

You may be thinking this is only for kids, but these crafts never lose their charm. This is true fall family fun for the youngest of kids, all the way up to grandparents.

We hope to see you on the Peace Plaza enjoying these crafts, and many other fun fall-themed vendors and activities on October 6 from 10:00am-2:00pm. If for some reason Mother Nature decides she doesn't want to cooperate, we've got you covered. In the event of rain, storms, or even sn... well, you know... we have a backup date of October 7, should the event need to be postponed.
