Know Before You Go to Dogs Downtown

Bring your pack back to Dogs Downtown presented by the Rochester Downtown Alliance and Subaru of Rochester! This year features fun for all, especially your dog. Here is what you need to know before you go to Dogs Downtown September 17.

  Activities

Whether you have an active Akita or laid-back lab, there is all kinds of fun at Dogs Downtown! New this year is a dog caricature artist who will make a masterpiece of your pup. Another way to remember the day is with our Dogs Downtown photo booth (bring your own camera or phone for this photo opp). Making a return is the popular pop-up dog park, agility course, and ball pits for dogs and live music and a variety of vendors for humans.

  Food

Speaking of vendors, one of them happens to be Bleu Duck Kitchen. Bringing its Duck Truck, they will be serving, what else, their famous gourmet hot dogs!

  Vendors

But there is more to the vendor experience at Dogs Downtown. Everything from pet supplies to doggie art to actual adoptions are at the event. To name a few new ones this year, Barkcuterie Box (charcuterie inspired dog treats), Companion Acres (boarding services), and Pet Butler (pet waste removal service) look forward to seeing you and your pup onsite.   T-shirts

We know this crowd anticipates Dogs Downtown every year for the themed t-shirts. This year we will not disappoint, as the shirts are ready to be unveiled and available for cash or card purchase at the event. If you are really anxious, the only hint we will give you about the design is to expect a happy dog on it!

  Reminders

  • Parking at all downtown ramps is free on weekends! The closest ramp to Dogs Downtown is the Center Street Ramp, though all are within a couple blocks of the event.
  • We kindly ask for the safety of all that dogs be socialized with other furry friends and humans and be on a leash at all times.
  • Once at the event, stop by the Downtown Rochester MN branded tent, fill out a short survey, and get an exclusive Dogs Downtown giveaway!
