Movies in the Park: Get in the Game with Jumanji
Movies in the Park is a four-part outdoor movie experience presented by the Rochester Downtown Alliance and Premier Bank Rochester featuring activities, film-inspired food and drink, and a movie nestled in string-lit Historic Central Park. This time, we will feature a night inspired by the reimagined hit, Jumanji. Play, dine, and watch a movie under the stars with us!
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE
Test your survival instincts on July 21st as Jumanji hits the big screen at Movies in the Park. Watch Central Park transform into a tropical jungle as the night kicks off with island-style bites and puzzling activities starting at 7pm. Grab your maps and settle into your seats at 9pm when the blockbuster hit of the year, Jumanji, lights up the screen.
ESCAPE THE NIGHT
Our pre-movie activities, brought to you by Charter House, are sure to challenge your escape know-how. UNRAVELED Escape Rooms will have a free mini-escape room tent set up for attendees. Can you follow the clues and escape like Franklin Finbar did to survive Jumanji? Practice your ability to cross over a rushing river, like Smolder Bravestone, and defeat Jumanji’s power by trying out one of our Slack Lines! If you’re more of a Professor Sheldon Oberon type, take it easy and head for the Games on the Grass cart filled with lawn games of all sorts.
ISLAND BITES
Thanks to Francisco’s Cuban Café, you won’t have to worry about going hungry on this mission. They are serving up a specialized menu, available for purchase with cash or card, of Ruby Roundhouse Ribs, Bravestone Fish Fingers, Jungle Jerk Chicken, and specialty drinks beginning at 7pm before the movie magic begins! Come early and fuel up; you’re going to need it.
BREAK OUT THE POPCORN
Now that you’re prepared, let’s settle in and enjoy the show! Grab your Carroll’s Corn popcorn at the Rochester Downtown Alliance table, while supplies last, before the movie begins at 9pm. Rally your best team and come on down to Historic Central Park on July 21st because you’ve never seen Jumanji like this!
