Free parking in downtown Rochester
Support local and get free parking! Through December 31, 2020, when you shop, dine, or support a service or experience business downtown, get a three-hour free parking voucher to use at any of the six municipal ramps.
Downtown Rochester businesses are working hard to serve you safely. Support them back and get three hours of free parking as a thank you! City of Rochester Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) funding is being used to support this program.
How it works:
It's simple, actually: shop, dine, or support a service or experience business in downtown Rochester now through December 31, 2020, and get a three-hour free parking voucher at check-out at select businesses. Find a full list of businesses below.
Each voucher is worth $6 (or three hours of paid parking) with an expiration date of December 31, 2020. The free parking program supports one parking voucher per customer per visit through December 31, 2020 or while supplies last.
- When you exit the parking ramp, insert the entrance ticket to calculate the fee.
- Then insert the free parking voucher to redeem. Scanning the voucher will not work.
- If any amount remains, payment by credit card will be completed at the exit.

Where to park:
These parking validations will work at the exits (or at the cashier at the 1st Street ramp) at all six municipal ramps below. However, the vouchers will not work at the pay-on-foot stations at Ramp 6 and 3rd Street ramp and only at the exits of those two ramps.
The free parking vouchers do not apply to on-street meters or Mayo Clinic-owned ramps.
Where to get parking vouchers*:
*Purchase is required at the business to receive the parking voucher; limited quantities at the following businesses while supplies last
