Five new features of Social-ICE and FAM JAM
Social-ICE is downtown Rochester's iconic ice festival event and has been since its inception in 2008. Though the event remains consistent with its themed bars and DJs, plenty has changed. Find out the five new features of Social-ICE and its family-friendly day, Social-ICE FAM JAM, below for February 24-25.
Mini golf
Golfing in winter? You betcha because we're hardy people! While it might not be the full nine or 18 holes, Social-ICE and FAM JAM attendees can get a taste of mini golf throughout the event.
Cornhole...or whatever you call it.
Another new activity to participate in is cornhole (or bags, if that's how you know it). Warm up your limbs with a friendly competition among friends or family. Enjoy a game or two while at Social-ICE or FAM JAM.
Social-ICE FAM JAM DJ dance party
Join in the party! From 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 25 will be a Social-ICE FAM JAM DJ dance party hosted by Olmsted Medical Center. DJ D.I.M.E. will be providing the tunes; we provide the bubbles, weather depending; and you make the fun!
Altra Federal Credit Union ski lift photo booth
When you are ready to show off the fun you had at Social-ICE, head over to the Altra Federal Credit Union photo experience, which will be a ski lift to keep with the wintery sentiment of Social-ICE. When you post your photo on social, be sure to use our specific hashtag, #SocialICE, and tag us in the post. You may just see it on our channels!
Sled dogs by Winona State University, Rochester
Speaking of photo opportunities, Winona State University, Rochester is offering a once-in-a-lifetime one to not only take a photo with but pet actual sled dogs! These furry pups who pull sleds will be at Social-ICE FAM JAM only from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 25, so don't miss your chance!
