Thursdays on First & 3rd Partner Series with Rochester International Airport
The Rochester International Airport (RST) has been serving the Rochester community since 1928. Today, they accommodate approximately 290,000 passengers annually, providing easy travel from home. During Thursdays on First & 3rd, RST is the Presenting Peace Plaza Stage Partner which hosts three live performances every Thursday afternoon and evening. By attending the event weekly, they interact with many individuals and help to answer questions and share exciting news about changes at RST.
Thursdays on First & 3rd would not be possible without the support of businesses in the Rochester community. Thanks to the Rochester International Airport and our numerous other partners, we bring musicians, artists, craftspeople, and restaurateurs together, uniting residents and visitors alike.
INTRODUCING THE ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The Rochester International Airport (RST) is served by United Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, which collectively offer 13 flights each day to Atlanta, Chicago, and Minneapolis. RST accommodates approximately 290,000 passengers annually, providing air service to southeast MN and border regions of Iowa and Wisconsin. Not only does RST support commercial air travel into and out of our region, but the airport also provides critical access for air cargo and private business, as well as medical transport. The Rochester International Airport is experiencing tremendous success with year-to-date increases of 50% in passenger traffic! Daily flights have increased providing more options for connecting travelers to the world. The airport recently completed a remodeling project including new enhancements such as full TSA PreCheck. RST continues to improve and offers the convenient, easy experience you need when starting off your travels right from home.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The Rochester International Airport was founded in 1928 by the Mayo brothers in southeast Rochester near the current Olmsted County fairgrounds location. RST has a long running history of being a transportation cornerstone in our community. RST management continues working to grow and expand flight options for our community. It takes the support from local travelers to recruit additional routes from the airlines. With continued utilization of the current flights, our community will show demand for new air service.
