Santa Claus is visiting Rochester November 16 for his yearly health check-up at Mayo Clinic. While he's here, he'll also visit some of his favorite downtown places to shop, play, and eat. Show love with the Altra Federal Credit Union Kindness Tree
'Tis the season to share a little kindness! Presenting Partner Altra Federal Credit Union is bringing back the Kindness Tree for the second year. Buy new gloves, hats, and scarves for those less fortunate. Pin them to the Kindness Tree located on the first floor of Galleria at University Square (just inside the Broadway entrance door to the left). From the donated items, a little warmth will be shared with those in need through the Salvation Army following Here Comes Santa Claus, just in time for the holidays and the approaching winter weather.
Usher in the holidays with the Here Comes Santa Claus drive-thru parade
All will be merry and bright when Santa Claus comes this night: November 27! The traditional daring Santa rescue atop Old City Hall will be transformed into a magical drive-thru parade featuring an appearance by the jolly old elf himself, courtesy of the Rochester Fire Department, and other enchanting highlights. Bonus: Hiawatha Homes Festival of Trees kicks off the same night!
The same night as Here Comes Santa Claus is the start of another favorite Rochester tradition: Hiawatha Homes Festival of Trees! More than 40 decorated trees will grace the windows of downtown businesses and unused storefronts to bring some holiday cheer and main street magic to downtown November 27-29.
