Dogs Downtown Insider's Guide 2021

Unleash the fun when Dogs Downtown presented by Subaru of Rochester returns in 2021! From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. September 18, stop by Peace Plaza for a free, family-friendly event all about the pups. We'll throw you a bone and let you in on all the fun activities and awesome vendors that will be at Dogs Downtown!

  "Have a ball" activities

There's nothing like quality family time, especially when it's something everyone can enjoy. Dogs Downtown is that something! There will be activities like an agility course, ball pit, cuddle huddle, doggie/human beer garden, a dog-themed craft, and photo opps! Get a more in-depth look at these in this Dogs Downtown activities blog!

  Bone appétit!

Now that you and your dog might be running low on energy, let onsite food and beverage vendors get you fueled back up. Cameo at the Castle is going all out dog themed with its menu by serving up gourmet hot dogs like the Notorious P.I.G., Kogi dog, or an All-American Dog. All are served with chips and water. Or try a dogartia, which is simply a house made margarita. Pooches and Palomas and Little Thistle Brewing are teaming up on a doggie and human beer garden. Dogs will enthusiastically lap up their "beer," which is bone broth, while their humans will savor every drop of Little Thistle's line of brews.

  Friendly reminders worth barking about

Our life goal is to pet all the dogs. Every dog that attends Dogs Downtown must be on a leash and socialized with other dogs and humans. It makes for a better event for all.

  PAWking

No, that's not a Boston terrier talking about where to park for Dogs Downtown September 18. (Can you imagine that?!) But if there were a dog to tell you, the closest place to park nearest Peace Plaza is the Center St. Ramp. Any of the other ramps (1st St., 2nd St., 3rd St., or Ramp 6) are all within a few blocks' walk, as well. The best part? Parking is free on weekends during Dogs Downtown.

  Our friends fur-ever
