The unique venue and offerings of Thursdays on First & 3rd - smack in the heart of Rochester with live music, delicious street food, and artisan vendors – is the perfect place to share our celebration with the Rochester community, business associates, our employees, and former IBMers. With a history that spans computer technology from the programmable era, through to this decade’s birth of cognitive computing systems and solutions, IBM Rochester has been a stalwart contributor to the IBM Corporation.
Our demos and displays at Historic 3rdStreet will honor both our history and our transformation. We invite everyone to bring their curiosity to our tents on July 14 to learn how today’s technology is changing the way we live, work and play in a data-driven, smarter and social world. Come chat with our employees, reminisce, interact with Watson cognitive apps and our Nao robot, learn about the Internet of Things with interactive apps, explore the STEM projects that area middle schoolers build each year during Engineers Week, spin the IBM Wheel of Knowledge to win a prize, and pick up a balloon for the kids!
