$10,000 in Start-Up Event Grant funds up for grabs!

Seeking fresh, creative perspectives on events, activities, and programs within downtown Rochester. No, it's not a help-wanted ad. Rather, it's a call for our Start-Up Event Grant! Learn more about this year's guidelines and application process below.

As in 2021, applicants can submit an idea for a new one-time event, event series, or passive activity or program to be hosted within the 44-block downtown special service district. Up to $3,000 per recipient is possible for grant awards (total grant funds to be awarded is $10,000).

Other grant guidelines include:

  Must be hosted within the 44-block downtown special service district

  Additional priority given to projects located within alleyways, riverfront paths and public spaces, vacant/underutilized spaces, or prominent intersections downtown, and hosted on the weekends

  A goal of twenty percent of this year’s funds designated for event/activities/programs that engage underrepresented groups in our community.
