Thursdays on First & 3rd: Last Chance

The summer is leaving us as fast as it came. It's been a summer full of arts, crafts, music, food, drinks, and fun all around at Thursdays on First & 3rd. But, like the summer, Thursdays on First & 3rd is also coming to an end. Thursday, August 30 will be your last chance to come Downtown and immerse yourself in all things Thursdays on First & 3rd.

If you haven't made it to one of the events yet, here is a little snippet of what you've missed (numbers through August 23):

  • 204,088 Estimated Attendees
  • 59 Live Musical Performances
  • 173 Diverse Vendors Throughout the Season
  • 73,000 Estimated Cups Sold (cups are used for drinks containing alcohol)
  • Five 3rd Street Activations
  • 34 Adirondack chairs and 4 child-sized Adirondack chairs for relaxation on 3rd Street
  • 98 Total Hours Thursdays on First & 3rd Fun!

The final week of Thursdays on First & 3rd is sure to please everyone in attendance. We will once again have 115 vendors on site selling anything from wooden toys, to a burger and fries, to solar-lit lawn ornaments. If you're looking for a specific vendor or product, we have you covered. Click here to see if your favorite vendor is a part of the market on August 30th. If you have a specific item in mind, you can use our product locator tool by clicking here to see if it may be at the market.

This summer's entertainment lineup is closing out 2018 in a big way. After you grab your lunch, head to one of our two stages to enjoy the lunchtime performances. Kick back and let Twin Cities-based Wayward sing you a story during your lunch break on the Peace Plaza. If you're ready to let your hair down and rock out, local band Breakthrough will be rocking out on the 1st Avenue Stage.

Once the evening is upon us, Austin, Minnesota's own The Ripdoozers bring some of your favorite hits back to life on the 1st Avenue Stage presented by Bremer Bank starting at 5pm. On the Peace Plaza Stage Presented by Rochester International Airport, Corey Mathew Hart is keeping it cool with his smooth acoustic sound.

Finally, the last two shows of the season hit the stages at 7pm. Jam band Frogleg is sure to bring the house down with a mix of rock, jazz, and blues on 1st Avenue. Up-and-comers The Harmaleighs are bringing more of a Indie folk/pop/Americana feel to the Peace Plaza Stage.

Whether you can come to the final Thursdays on First & 3rd for five minutes or five hours, we'd love to share the experience with you. You're sure to find something to enjoy.

Don't forget, just because it's the end of our summer season doesn't mean it's the end of our Downtown fun. We still have one more Movies in the Park featuring Safe Haven on September 15th, as well as our annual Fall Fest on October 6th.
