Fun in the sun: Summer in the City is coming!

Get your daily dose of delight with Summer in the City presented by the Rochester Downtown Alliance. Every day of the week this summer will have something happening within the 44 blocks of downtown. Let’s preview the fun to be had!

Games on the Grass

Summer is meant for appreciating the great outdoors. And with the Games on the Grass, this is built-in enjoyment! This outdoor game cart comes equipped with a variety of free lawn games to play in the park. When you are done with the fun, simply put the games back and know it will be there another day throughout the summer!

  Quick info: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from June 1 to September 30 in Central Park

 

Pop-Up Art Cart

Free and easy: two words people love to hear. Whether you are a parent looking for activities to do with your kiddos while they are on summer vacation or a downtown employee or visitor looking to take a break from it all, the Pop-Up Art Cart is the perfect answer.

  Quick info: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays and Fridays from May 16 to September 30 in Peace Plaza

 

Sidewalk Sessions

Tap your toes to the music provided at Sidewalk Sessions, which are free outdoor musical performances. Get your lunch to go from a downtown restaurant, stake your spot with the public tables and chairs in Peace Plaza, and appreciate the talent of local and regional musicians.

  Quick info: 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Mondays and Fridays from May 16 to August 5 in Peace Plaza
