What's new in 2022 for Roller Disco?
Daytime, nighttime, anytime is alright for Roller Disco! Especially when there are these new features being planned for the second annual outdoor roller rink event October 7-8 in downtown Rochester.

Location
While Peace Plaza was a nice starting venue for the inaugural Roller Disco in 2021, we're going big for this year's event on the 300 block of Broadway Ave South! And by big, we mean a wider rink to accommodate skating enthusiasts who showed up in droves last year. The outdoor roller rink will be 30' wide by 100' long. (To give you perspective, a football field is 160' wide by 360' long.)

Activities
What would a roller skating experience be without the additional entertainment (more than doing the limbo or the YMCA, though that could happen)! Roller Disco will include new features for all ages and abilities, especially with the class and performances by the Twin Cities Skaters group throughout the day Saturday. Reminder: free skate rentals ranging in sizes from kid 10 to adult 13 will be available onsite or you can bring your own roller or in-line skates.
Other fun things to look forward to include a photo booth experience thanks to Mayo Clinic, neon window murals brought to you by Destination Medical Center, face painting with The Party Lady, and more in the following schedules!
Friday, October 7 schedule
4 - 8 p.m.: Family skate*
4 - 7 p.m.: Music by DJ D.I.M.E.
4 - 9 p.m.: Face painting with The Party Lady
7:30 - 10:30 p.m.: Music by DJ Johnny D
8 - 10:30 p.m.: Disco After Dark

Bitter & Pour: a specialty drink called the "Roller Pisco," a combination of pisco, passion fruit, lemon, and honey
LC's Venue: Disco Dance Party from 6 - 10 p.m. Friday and live music at 7 p.m. Saturday
ThaiPop: a specialty cocktail called the Disco Dog with coconut rum, palm sugar, grapefruit, guava, coconut cream, vanilla vodka, butterfly pea flower powder, and Campari
