Find Arctic Activities at SocialICE FAM JAM
Take a trip into a real life snow globe when you visit SocialICE FAM JAM! You’ll see the coolest elements of SocialICE, but during the day, such as our life-sized ice sculptures and giant SocialICE letters; word on the street is that they make the best selfie spots! SocialICE FAM JAM will be held on February 9 from 1PM-4PM on the Peace Plaza. This brand new event will be the perfect opportunity to bring the whole family out & about to enjoy everything SocialICE has to offer.
Select participating SocialICE bars and restaurants will be hosting themed activities, as well as offering kid-friendly beverages. Stay tuned for specific details on each of those! If you’re in need of a classic summer treat in the dead of winter, head over to the Build a S'mores Bar! S’mores and firepits will be provided by our partner Kraus-Anderson.
For the younger kiddos there will be an art project and exploration tables! Help to create a snow graffiti painting or pop around to discover frozen snow bubbles. Kids can even create their own physical masterpieces with snow-bricks thanks to our partner Rochester Area Builders.
Get the whole family’s thinking caps together and start searching! UNRAVELED Escape Room is hosting a Snowy Scavenger Hunt for the SocialICE Medallion. Make sure to ‘Like’ our event Facebook page as we will be sharing clues on how to find the medallion during the month leading up to the event. If taking things slow and gliding about is more your pace, try out Snowman Yoga with Yoga Tribe MN from 2:30PM - 3PM at the SocialICE DJ stage on the day of the event.
We’re hoping for cool weather, but just in case you need a break from the action, warm up in our giant igloo. Presented by Somerby Golf Club, ‘The Clubhouse’ will play host to a real arcade for everyone to try out. Battle it out against a family member in Rock Band or practice your putt with Golden Tee. Several other fan-favorite arcade games will be available, as well as, cookies and hot chocolate available for just $5. When the temps go low, the fun goes high and this is the place to be!
With a day this eventful we wouldn’t be surprised if some local celebrities show up, such as an appearance by Rochester Grizzlies Hockey! This brand new event is the best place to enjoy a winter day with friends and family, so invite your favorite snow angels and we’ll see you there!
