Parking
All the City ramps have indoor pedestrian skyway connections to adjacent office buildings, retailing, hotels, banks, and civic buildings. Many downtown businesses will validate your parking in the City ramps. Ask about validation.
Metered Times
Parking meters are enforced 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except the following holidays; New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. On-street parking is prohibited on most streets in the downtown from 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. Visit the City of Rochester's website for details.
Free Parking
Free parking is always provided at all meters after 5 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. Parking in City parking ramps is free after 5 p.m. in the evening and on weekends from 6:30 a.m. until 2:30 a.m. Ramps at Center Street, Civic Center, 1st Street, 2nd Street, 3rd Street, and Ramp 6 are free if you enter and exit within an hour. Fees may be charged in the ramps during these periods for certain events. Overnight parking on most downtown streets is prohibited between 2 and 6 a.m. A $16 charge may be incurred if a vehicle is parked overnight in a city parking ramp. Bicycle Parking
Each of downtown's City-owned parking ramps offer covered bicycle parking and the 3rd St Ramp and Ramp 6 provide rentable bicycle lockers.
