Sharing the Best-Kept Secrets...To Margaritas

Downtown Rochester could stake its claim as a Margaritaville when there are so many varieties! So, find your lost shaker of salt and try these sweet, sour, fruity, and everything in between margaritas in downtown Rochester.

Bitter & Pour

Looking for a margarita that is exceptional? Head to Bitter & Pour where you’ll find something called the Red Eye to Paradise, a delicious blend of tequila blanco, fresh lime juice, hibiscus agave, and lime salt. While the ingredients may be simple enough, the depth of flavor from this drink is beyond words. You just have to try it for yourself to believe it! Bitter & Pour also has a carbonated margarita that is reminiscent of a bubbly champagne with the true margarita taste.

Chester's Kitchen & Bar

It's not too often you find a blackberry margarita. When you do, you should try it! Especially the one at Chester's Kitchen & Bar. Its uniqueness pairs well with the fresh blackberries.

Crave

Introducing the blood orange margarita at Crave. What makes this drink is the salt and tajin (a blended spice of mild chili peppers, lime, and sea salt) rim. Sounds weird, right? Combined with the smooth blood orange puree, house-made vanilla syrup, and reposado tequila, it’s something you won’t find anywhere else!

Hefe Rojo

So many margaritas, so little time! Hefe Rojo does craft margaritas right that you’ll be sure to find one that fits your flavor craving. For the upcoming summer season, we recommend the Pale Ryder, a refreshing and tasty blend of cucumber and lime. A close runner-up is the taste of real strawberry in the Paint My Wagon. If spicy is more your style, go for The Good, The Bad, The Spicy for a slow burn of jalapeño and spiced pineapple.

Newt's Downtown

If a good classic margarita is what you seek, Newt’s Downtown has it! This version is a bit on the sweet side with a nice, salted rim and good lime taste.

Redwood Room

Belly up to the bar at Redwood Room, and you’ll be golden! This Golden Margarita is a bright infusion of orange from a blend of house tequila, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, agave, and lime juice to make it one delicious margarita.

The Tap House

Tart yet sweet, the Tap House Margarita is the one to get! A hint of real cranberry is the star of this margarita and makes it one to put on your downtown margarita bucket list. Tap House’s agave nectar margarita is another good one that is perfect on a warm day on the rooftop patio.

Terza Ristorante

Terza fresh squeezes its own lime juice, which makes this margarita more on the sour side. But take it with a grain of salt…literally! The salt is what balances out this classic margarita.

Tilda's Pizzeria

Classic with a twist is how Tilda's margarita is described, and it lives up to the hype! Made with blue agave and real lime juice, this one is sure to quench your desire for a true margarita.

Victoria's Ristorante & Wine Bar

Opposite Terza, if a sweeter margarita is what you’re looking for, stop by Victoria’s Ristorante. Here, you will find a honey pear margarita that is tantalizingly sweet. (Tip: bartenders come on at 4 p.m., and we heard Ben is the guy to see at the bar!)
