What Dog Would You Be?

Subaru of Rochester (Subaru) has been a part of the Rochester community since 1986. Since then they’ve proven to be active community members— and furry-friend lovers. “There are always dogs on leashes in our show room and on the lot trying out our vehicles, and we even have a dog park to let them run around!” For the last couple of years, Subaru has played a huge part in making Dogs Downtown possible. This year, we got to know their organization better, and found out which dogs their staff members wanted to be!

INTRODUCING SUBARU OF ROCHESTER

Subaru has been in Rochester since 1986 and is excited for what’s next. “We’re so excited for the 2019 model year. Not only did Subaru launch a brand new vehicle called the Ascent, our largest ever, we’re also adopting a ton of new features like our global platform that’s engineered for quieter and more comfortable rides across all of our models and standard eyesight driver assist technology on every model. Of course, we are continuing standard symmetrical all-wheel drive on all trim levels of vehicles except our RWD BRZ.”

Subaru is all about being a friendly, welcoming environment. It’s a commitment they’ve stood by with their up-front pricing, world-class facility, and stress-free buying and servicing experience. Their number one goal is to explain everything to costumers and keep their peace of mind at the forefront of all they do. “We’re grateful to live and work in this wonderful community and will never stop striving to be the perfect place to buy and service your vehicles!”

It is no secret that Subaru is dedicated to community engagement through involvement in regional events, as well as putting on their own. On August 18th, they will be hosting one of their biggest events of the year. “We will have bouncy castles, a DJ, food and so much more to celebrate the launch of our 2019 Ascent!”

WHAT DOG WOULD YOU BE?

Josh Winkler, the Marketing and Social Media Manager at Subaru of Rochester, asked 26 employees what dog they would be. The results told an interesting “tail”.

The repeat answers were for more common dogs or well-loved dogs, namely German Shepherds, Saint Bernards, mutts, and Alaskan Malamutes; however, the breadth of the answers is what surprised him most.

A mechanic covered in engine oil and tattoos put down his tools to show Josh a picture of his long-haired dachshund puppy and proudly declared that he’d be a dachshund because dachshunds “have a great personality and are really cute”.

One of their office staff quietly declared that she would love to be a Jack Russell Terrier because they’re “small and feisty.” Still another employee was set on being a poodle because of their aloof and snooty attitude. Someone else offered reason for choosing a mutt in saying that they’re “more resistant to diseases.”

Josh Winkler found that because of the variety of breeds, there seems to be a dog for everyone. What dog would you be?

REGARDING DOGS DOWNTOWN

Subaru of Rochester has partnered with Dogs Downtown for a few years now, and they say it’s always been such a great experience for their staff. “It’s such a joy to meet everyone’s furry friends, and Subaru itself has a big emphasis on pets, as one of our five community pillars is that Subaru Loves Pets!”
