A Recap of 2022: Clean and Safe Ambassador Program By The Numbers
Another year around the sun, and our downtown Ambassadors have been on the run! From picking up cigarette butts to providing hospitality assists, they continue to be a recognizable presence in downtown. Here is a look at their stats in 2022 as a breakdown!
Cigarette butts picked up: 672,800 (597 percent increase from 2021)
Hospitality assistance outreaches: 11,463 (450 percent increase from 2021)
COVID-19 mask disposed of: 8,137 (134 percent increase from 2021)
Infrastructures cleaned and disinfected: 6,675
Gum spots removed: 3,249 (200 percent increase from 2021)
Bus stops cleaned: 2,827 (49 percent increase from 2021)
Bags of trash collected: 1,838 (129 percent increase from 2021)
Corners cleared of snow: 1,005
Graffiti removed: 839
Power washed hot spots and block faces: 509
Weeds pulled from blocks: 480
Biohazards cleaned up: 375
Safety escorts provided: 150 (121 percent increase from 2021)
Bags of leaves collected: 100
Planters/beds maintained: 60
