Shining a Light on Bremer Bank, a 2019 Thursdays Downtown Partner

To make Thursdays Downtown a successful community event, the Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA) is appreciative of its partnerships like the one with Bremer Bank and wants to shine the spotlight on them! Let's learn a little more about the organization from Jody Chambers, Bremer Bank's SVP, private banking team lead!

Katie: Jody, thanks for sitting down with me and chatting about Bremer Bank! Tell us about the organization and how long it’s been a part of the Rochester community.

Jody: Bremer Bank has deep roots in our community and a history of making a difference in the lives of our customers that begins with our founder. Otto Bremer believed if banks helped businesses, farmers, and professionals in good times and bad, communities would thrive. In fact, he put up his own money to save local banks during The Great Depression. Those banks helped the towns to be able to rebuild, grow, and flourish. His example is the foundation to the way we serve our clients today.

Katie: What excites Bremer Bank about the community or why is the organization involved in community events?

Jody We work elbow to elbow with the people who grow our food, build our economy and serve our neighbors. We’re here to collaborate with our local communities, to create and commit to growth, and to thrive in what we can accomplish together!  There are new ideas and innovative solutions that can make a difference to our customers and community members. Together, we cultivate thriving communities and relationships.

Katie: Why does the organization partner with the RDA for Thursdays Downtown?

Jody: Thursdays Downtown is an event that brings communities together for a weekly celebration of fun, music, and food, and we’re excited to be onsite! Thursdays Downtown provides a neighborhood vibe right outside our doors in downtown Rochester, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to be the friendly faces to our customers at community events and other networking happenings. If you’d like to connect with us, stop down to our branch office during Thursdays Downtown; we’re there from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., too!

Katie: Bremer Bank recently went through a rebrand. Would you share more about that?

Jody: To celebrate our 75th anniversary, Bremer Bank took the opportunity to sharpen the focus of our organization and find new and better ways to serve our customers. Our new logo and website are just the beginning as we continue to look for new ways to go above and beyond for our customers and our communities.
