3 Contests at SocialICE 2020

PHOTO CONTEST
The Rules: Six avid photographers or amateur shutterbugs who capture SocialICE's ice, lights, and activities the best in these categories will win: 1) photo with giant SocialICE letters; 2) general event/ice bar photo; and 3) photo of you/your group enjoying a SocialICE activity.
How to Enter:
- Follow Downtown Rochester MN on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Snap a photo at SocialICE.
- Post your photo on social media, tag Downtown Rochester MN, and use #SocialICE (the post must be public to be eligible).
The Prizes: The top two winners in each category will win a $25 gift card to a pre-selected downtown Rochester business. For those who shoot the best of the best in each category, a Downtown Rochester MN-branded beanie hat will be awarded to keep warm during the coming cold winter nights.
BEARD CONTEST
The Rules: It's simple: Esteemed judge Mayor Kim Norton will use impartiality to judge the longest beard and the most creative beard!
How to Enter: Grow out those beards or deck out those beards and get ready to show them off at 4:30 p.m. February 8 during SocialICE in Peace Plaza.
The Prizes: Those who are judged to have the longest beard and most unique beard by Mayor Norton will each receive a MOKA or Café Steam gift and a Rochester mug. Just make sure to keep your beverage in your mug and not on your beard!
PLAID CONTEST
The Rules: Dress to impress. That's the name of the game in this SocialICE plaid contest. Whether it's gingham, tartan, or buffalo checked, the plaid deemed the best overall by the Rochester Downtown Alliance's executive director, Holly Masek, will win. (Insider tip: some elements she'll be looking for is creativity and best use of this unique fabric pattern!)
How to Enter: Dig out plaid apparel and show up by 4:30 p.m. February 8 during SocialICE in Peace Plaza.
The Prize: The lover of plaid with the best overall outfit will be the lucky recipient of a $25 gift card to a fashionable downtown Rochester store.
