Thursdays on First & 3rd Insider's Guide
The start of the Thursdays on First & 3rd season is finally here and we here at the Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA) want to make sure you have everything you need to know to prepare for a summer full of fun!
Thursdays on First and 3rd runs from 11:00am - 8:30pm every Thursday June 7 - August 30. The event site is located on 1st Avenue SW from Center Street to Historic 3rd Street, as well as on the Peace Plaza. Click here to view a map of the event site.
WHO'S GOING TO BE THERE?
This year we have more than 115 vendors at Thursdays on First & 3rd each week. If you're looking for a specific vendor, we've simplified that process for you. Click here to view an interactive map that breaks down the entire event site week-by-week. You can click a spot on the map to see who's in that spot on any given week. You can also select a vendor along the left side of the screen to see where that vendor is located and learn a little bit more about them.
WHAT WILL I HEAR?
We have 78 acts ready to perform throughout the summer on two stages at Thursdays on First & 3rd. From country, to rock, and even Tuvan throat singing, you're sure to find something you love. If you're looking for a good band to hit up during your lunch break, click here to see the lunchtime entertainment lineup. If the night life is more your style, click here for our evening entertainment. If you'd like to see a week-by-week list of bands playing, check out our Thursdays on First & 3rd page.
NEED TO RELAX?
Several Rochester businesses will be activating Historic 3rd Street in several different ways this year, including client appreciations. During the weeks without a business activation, head to 3rd Street to relax in a new lounge area during Thursdays on First & 3rd.
WHERE TO I PARK?
Downtown Rochester offers plenty of parking options on both street parking and in the city ramps. Street parking and city ramps (excluding Mayo Clinic ramps) are free after 5 pm (no overnight parking). Click here for more information. The Rochester Downtown Alliance encourages all to plan a sober ride to and from the event if you plan to consume alcoholic beverages.
NEED TO FIND A RESTROOM?
Restrooms with hand-washing stations will be available for use in two locations on the event site. One is located along 1st Avenue on the south side of the event between the Minnesota Bio Business Center and the 201 Building. The other set of bathrooms is on Peace Plaza near the Chateau Theater. Click here to find the restrooms on our event map.
We hope you'll join us and explore everything Thursdays on First & 3rd has to offer and, most importantly, have fun!
