Tuvergen Band is a Chicago-based trio creating what they call modern nomadic music. Founded in 2020 by brothers Tamir and Naizal Hargana of Inner Mongolia, along with percussionist and ethnomusicologist Brent Roman, the group blends traditional Mongolian and Tuvan sounds with bluegrass, blues, and rock. Their performances feature the cello-like morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), throat singing, global percussion, and didgeridoo, weaving together ancient traditions and modern influences.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
