Thomas X is an Ojibwe hip hop artist from Red Lake Nation in Minnesota. Passionate about building community and uplifting the next generation, his music conveys boldness and strength. His lyrics draw on his cultural experiences and current events to send a message to the Native youth about pride, culture and identity.

Presented annually since 2010, Passport Sessions is a free outdoor music series that celebrates global traditions, cultural connection, and community through live performance in Downtown Rochester. 

Each concert features world-influenced music—from folk and roots to contemporary cross-cultural blends—performed by artists deeply connected to the traditions they share. Events are family-friendly, un-ticketed, and open to all.
