Hear ye, hear ye!

Make haste and step forth into an evening of song, wit, and merriment with Madrigals & Mirth: The Troubadour Returns, a lively tale of love pursued, fortunes tested, and folly embraced. Set in the spirit of the Renaissance, this comic entertainment is fashioned as an operetta, brought to life through the rich harmonies of 16th-century madrigals.

Synopsis: The Troubadour Returns is a Renaissance comedy about two very different royal sisters under pressure to marry. Princess Amelia is ready to find a husband while Princess Emma would much rather stay single with her books. When a traveling troubadour arrives hoping to perform at court, his sister disguises herself as him after the Queen refuses to allow a female musician to perform. Unaware of the secret, both princesses fall for the “troubadour,” setting off a whirlwind of mistaken identity and playful chaos.

To heighten the pleasure of the evening, select tickets grant entry to a feast fit for such revelry. Fare prepared by Two Sisters Restaurant has been thoughtfully devised to accompany the sights and sounds of the performance, turning song and story into a shared Renaissance-inspired evening.
