RDA Announces New Events Manager
ROCHESTER, Minn.—The Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Monika Kopet, who will serve as the RDA’s events manager.
Kopet joins the RDA after serving as the events coordinator at the Autism Society of Minnesota. She has been the events and tour manager at the historic Wabasha Street Caves in Saint Paul and has worked on large festivals like the Saint Paul Winter Carnival and Twin Cities Pride. Kopet has a bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University for Communications/Violence Prevention with a minor in Psychology.
In her role as the RDA events manager, Kopet will manage the RDA’s core event portfolio, which includes more than 30 days of event programming through nine events.
“I love creating relationships in the community and fostering partnerships that can help organizations continue to grow,” said Kopet. “What excites me most about this position with the RDA is the opportunity to work with the amazing businesses, organizations, and people in downtown Rochester. The RDA’s events showcase the energy and vibrancy of the downtown community, and I'm thrilled to help continue and advance the great work of the RDA.”
Kopet will start with the RDA Wednesday, June 12.
