Free downtown ramp parking program continues through year’s end

ROCHESTER, Minn.—Free three-hour ramp parking in downtown Rochester continues as the holiday shopping season winds down.

Customers who purchase from a participating retail, dining, or service businesses in downtown Rochester will receive a three-hour free parking voucher at the register. Supplies of vouchers are limited and will expire December 31, 2020.

“Supporting our local businesses into the end of 2020 is more important than ever,” said Holly Masek, RDA executive director. “We hope this makes downtown shopping over the holidays even easier: Visitors can park once and walk to more than 100 retailers and restaurants.”

This program’s voucher is good for three hours, giving visitors ample time to shop, dine, and explore downtown Rochester. The parking vouchers are accepted at any of the six municipal ramps downtown. Ramp parking is also always free after 5 p.m. and on weekends.

The downtown free parking program is supported through the City of Rochester’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) funding.
