60 performers to entertain at 18th annual Thursdays Downtown
ROCHESTER, Minn.—With Thursdays Downtown presented by the Rochester Downtown Alliance less than one month away, RDA staff is revealing the upcoming band line-up for the 2022 season.
Highlights of the entertainment line-up includes Martin Zeller, Yam Haus, Bad Bad Hats, and 57 other musical acts, including Six Mile Grove.
“As artists, these past couple pandemic years have taught us a lot about what's important. Music is the way we process life, and doing it live is the way we connect with humanity,” said Brandon Sampson, front man of Six Mile Grove. “We've really missed that, and we're so excited to get back at it. Thursdays Downtown is such an important community gathering, and we can't wait to reconnect with old friends and new faces.”
Thursdays Downtown starts its 10-week run June 16 and continues every Thursday through August 18. This outdoor arts, food, and music festival will feature 100-plus arts and food vendors per week and six musical acts per date on two different stages, thanks to Altra Federal Credit Union and the Rochester International Airport.
The Thursdays Downtown event site will remain in its usual 1st Avenue Southwest, 3rd Street Southwest, and Peace Plaza footprint in downtown Rochester. Additionally, the east side of the newly renovated Peace Plaza will feature a family friendly area presented by Mayo Clinic.
The RDA staff would like to thank Townsquare Media, ABC 6 News—KAAL TV, MN 97.5, and the Kahler Grand Hotel, among others, for partnering on this staple community festival.
