Zumbro Pedal Party is a large group bicycle ride that focuses on a safe and fun event for all ages and abilities to enjoy biking in Rochester. If you’ve ever wanted to join a bike parade and ride car-free loops around the river downtown, this is your chance! Large group rides are designed to offer a safe and supportive format for community members, especially kids and their families, to enjoy the opportunity to ride together, connect with others interested in bicycling, and experience the joy of movement together. We will offer a range of resources to attendees including safety checks (helmets, basic bike functions), information about biking in Rochester, opportunities to connect with local bike shops, and email signups for additional group bike rides in town. The ride will be self-paced, and Mayo Park will serve as an anchor point for all activities and community building when not actively riding. We are working with Rochester Art Center to offer an art-based activity station and local bike shops to be available to answer questions or help attendees find an appropriately sized bicycle for recreation or transportation.
