Pack your musical bags and get ready for a journey through through music and imagination. Explore the thrilling world of classical storytelling with two memorable masterpieces: Rossini’s playful Overture to The Barber of Seville, and Mendelssohn’s majestic "Scottish" Symphony. From the bustling streets of Italy to the misty highland landscapes of Scotland, the orchestra becomes a storyteller, bringing characters, places, and adventures to life.
Before the concert, visit Rochester Art Center’s Creative Studio, where kids can create their own landscape scenes inspired by the "Scottish" Symphony, and postcards from their own travels and adventures.
Admission to this Creative Studio is free with your Whirlwinds and Highlands concert ticket.
