Previewing the Movies in the Park June 2021 films

ROCHESTER, Minn.—A blockbuster hit and a romantic classic kick off the free Movies in the Park presented by the Rochester Downtown Alliance and Altra Federal Credit Union in June.

“Black Panther” June 12

    • Photo booth
    • Wakandan alphabet scratch art

“Casablanca” June 26

  • Activities:

    • Other activities to be announced

Every other Saturday starting June 12 through August 28, Movies in the Park will be hosted in Central Park with themed activities, movie-inspired food and beverages for purchase, and more free fun starting at 7:30 p.m. with the film to follow at dusk.

Other upcoming films during the Movies in the Park season include:

  • July 10: “Dirty Dancing” (People’s Choice vote in public poll)
  • July 24: “Zootopia”
  • August 14: “The Wizard of Oz”
  • August 28: “Shrek” (Kids’ Choice vote in public poll)

The Rochester Downtown Alliance is taking the following COVID-19 precautions:

  • The public will be required to reserve a space for the movie date.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be present.
  • Masking will be encouraged.
  • The Rochester Downtown Alliance is following state of Minnesota guidelines.
