FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Festival of Trees Will Once Again Transform Downtown Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn.—The Hiawatha Homes Foundation and the Rochester Downtown Alliance are uniting this holiday season to bring the Festival of Trees – A Celebration of Giving to the local community. This unique partnership will showcase decorated trees throughout the 44-block downtown area. Downtown Rochester will be lit up with these holiday masterpieces from November 22-November 28, 2021.

“In 2020, the RDA hosted a portion of the Festival of Trees in storefronts within walking distance of each other and it was a great success. As we continue to plan around the pandemic, we are excited to continue the success of this partnership and create another safe and accessible holiday experience in 2021,” said Lindsay Birr, development associate from Hiawatha Homes.

This long-standing, holiday event has been the signature fundraiser for Hiawatha Homes since the 1980s and has raised more than $4 million. The success of this event is due to the generous community support it has received throughout the last three decades.

The Festival of Trees will feature fully decorated trees from local community members. There will also be opportunities for sponsorship and volunteering, as well as smaller in-person and hybrid events and activities. Stay tuned for more details about this exciting partnership.
