Downtown Retailers Safely Welcoming Back Customers with Summer Sale July 15 - 31
ROCHESTER, Minn.—Downtown Rochester retailers are safely welcoming people back shopping with Summer Sale deals July 15 through 31.
Customers can shop at their convenience and comfort level with in-store or online deals, which vary by each store. Many of the participating retailers have pledged a commitment to implementing a specific set of measures to provide a safe experience through the Rochester Ready program.
“COVID-19 has presented many challenges to brick and mortar retailers this spring. Summer Sale gives businesses a chance to kickstart sales after a hiatus and shoppers the ability to find discounted prices on gifts for birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations the pandemic put on hold,” said Holly Masek, Rochester Downtown Alliance executive director. “It also gives us all a reason to reconnect with some of our favorite locally owned businesses downtown.”
This year, Summer Sale has been expanded to a two-week period to allow flexibility for retailers to manage their inventory and allow customers more time and space to feel comfortable shopping.
