Join us for this special concert commemorating Juneteenth! LaSonya Natividad, based in Rochester, Minnesota, is a talented vocal artist originally from Louisiana. Her unique sound blends Southern gospel with jazz, influenced by legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and Mahalia Jackson. With a vocal range from mezzo-soprano to contralto, she has worked with numerous local and regional artists since moving to Rochester in 2003. LaSonya has also ventured into acting, making a notable debut in "The Syringa Tree" at the Rochester Civic Theatre, where she played seven South African characters, singing in three languages and performing African-inspired dance.

LaSonya and Rocky have been covering music together since 2019. Both are members of the powerhouse band The Soul Train. The love for the softer side of music birthed the creation of this soulful groove.
