A pup-ular downtown event returns September 18

ROCHESTER, Minn.—Making a comeback to downtown after a “ruff” year is Dogs Downtown presented by the Rochester Downtown Alliance and Subaru of Rochester September 18.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Peace Plaza, the public can bring their dogs to enjoy vendors, a dog and human beer garden, photo booth, and more canine-centric fun.

“In the past, Dogs Downtown has been hosted in August. This year, we are moving it to September to provide respite for the pooches' paws from the dog days of summer heat,” said Kanika Couchene, RDA director of events & strategic partnerships. “We’re excited to host Dogs Downtown again in 2021 after many people got dogs during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Dogs Downtown has become a core event in downtown Rochester that caters to human’s best friend since its inception in 2015.
