$1 million fund awarded to downtown businesses through private donor

ROCHESTER, Minn.—The Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA) announced 85 grant awards from the Downtown Small Business Relief Fund Wednesday.

The $1 million fund was established by an anonymous private donor to support downtown’s small business community and protect downtown’s vitality through the challenges presented by 2020.

“The incredible generosity of this gift underscores our community’s faith in downtown Rochester’s continued growth and success,” said Holly Masek, RDA executive director of the Rochester Downtown Alliance.

“Now we hope Rochester residents will do their own part by patronizing downtown through this difficult period. Every local purchase makes a tangible difference to a small business owner and builds our community for the future.”
