On February 2 and 3, 2012, the Friends of the Rochester Public Library will host a Winterfest Book Sale in the library's auditorium. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease which typically causes severe joint damage. Less well know is that the inflammation of RA may extend beyond the joints, causing damage to organs including the skin, eyes, lungs, heart, blood and blood vessels. The systemic inflammatory process is a major predictor of premature death in patients with RA, particularly from cardiovascular disease.
