6/18/2007Q: What would encourage someone to shop at Clever Kids?
A: We are the only toy store in downtown. We have collector dolls. Many puppets: small and full body from GundTM. We have KlutzTM activity books. We have educational games, books, CrocTM shoes, old fashioned toys like a jack in box and Golden BooksTM.
Q: Anything special you’d like a patron to know?
A: We are the largest retailer of KlutzTM in southeastern Minnesota.
Q: What’s the best way to get to Clever Kids on foot from downtown?
A: For our Kahler location, take Broadway to Center Street. We’re across from the Methodist Hospital and next to Starbucks (inside). For our Marriott location, go into the Marriott Hotel and take the escalator down to subway level. We’re just to the right as you come down the escalator.
Q: Where should a person park?
A: Try the Center Street ramp to get to the subway store. Or you can park right outside the Kahler store on the street.
Q: What is one particular thing you want people to know about Clever Kids?
A: I have a passion for children. I love doing things for kids. I want kids to have fun and learn at the same time.
Q: Do you have discounts or specials?
A: We have patron key cards with the Kahler Hotel. They will get 10% off their total purchase. We also offer 10% off for home schoolers. We don’t inflate prices.
Q: What is one thing Clever Kids has that can’t be found everywhere?
A: We have some of the most unique puppets. Puppets can create smiles. All kinds of people buy them.
Q: What do you provide to the community of Rochester?
A: We are the toy store for downtown Rochester. It’s a place doctors, nurses and staff can quickly pick up a good gift. We’ll wrap it up and put a ribbon on top. We are very easily accessible from the Clinic.
Q: What is one interesting fact about Clever Kids that more people should know?
A: We get new toys daily. We have our core items that stay the same and other items will be brand new. We are a big book seller. Travelers from all over the world tell us we’re the best toy store.
Q: How long has Clever Kids been in Rochester?
A: We have been in business since November 2003 in the Marriott and November 2005 in the Kahler. Clever Kids started as a kiosk in Missouri in 2001.
