FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Rochester Downtown Alliance Stakeholder Celebration

ROCHESTER, Minn.---March 18, 2016---The Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA) will be holding their Downtown Rochester Stakeholder Celebration event on March 22 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am at Studio 324 located at 324 S Broadway Suite 100, in downtown Rochester. The formal program will begin at 8:30 am.

The event will celebrate downtown Rochester Stakeholders, the history of the RDA, and the next chapter in the story of downtown Rochester.

“I am very excited for our celebration,” said Dan C. Aguilar, RDA Board Chair and owner of Smart Home Innovations. “The RDA has reached a milestone that calls for a time to celebrate what we have accomplished together in 10 years.  During the event we will be introducing a whole new side of us.  Unfortunately, I am not able to share more about it…let’s just say you will have to ‘experience’ it for yourself,” he said.

The RDA’s contributions to downtown will also be highlighted at the celebration.

“We have seen tremendous growth in downtown Rochester over the last 10 years – with the RDA being a critical component to this growth,” said Bruce Dahlstrom, owner of Hers clothing stores and RDA Board member.

“During this time, downtown Rochester has become a destination for vibrant events, eating and shopping.  We are so excited to share the RDA's vision for the next 10 years,” Dahlstrom said.  “It's going to be a fun ride!”

Another important component of the event is to provide awareness of who the RDA is to the community.

“Over the last 10 years, the RDA has been known for a variety of different activities and initiatives,” said Jenna Bowman, RDA Executive Director. “From downtown development, to wayfinding, to our core events, the RDA has been a dynamic and nimble organization.  We are eager to provide vision to and clarity on who we are and where we are headed, which has been - and will continue to be - centered around the RDA’s mission.”

The March 22 Stakeholder Celebration is free and open to the public. Due to space restrictions, RSVP is strongly encouraged. RSVP by calling 507.216.9882 or email kmcelroy@rdowntownalliance.com.
