Rochester Downtown Alliance brings new fall themed event to Peace Plaza

Rochester, Minn.--- September 21, 2016---The cool and crisp autumn weather is the perfect complement to our fun new event called, “Fall Fest,” which will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 10 am – 2 pm located on the Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester, MN.

With a focus on family and fun, Fall Fest will feature everything we love about fall: the beautiful colors, fall decorations, pumpkins, activities, fall treats, and much more. Fall Fest is fun for all ages, free to attend, and open to the public.

Fall Fest activities include:

Hasse Family Petting Zoo
Fall themed arts & crafts for kids
Pumpkin Patch (Limited quantities available. East Section of the Peace Plaza)
Corn Search activity for hidden treasure
Pumpkin ring toss
Pumpkin Carving Contest (Pre-registration required. See below for details)
With even more activities from Rochester Area Builders, Olmsted Medical Center, People’s Food Co-Op, and Minnesota Children’s Museum Rochester.

Food & Beverage

You knew it was coming. Fall Fest will also be offering pumpkin spice coffee drinks and donuts by Dunkin Donuts and bubble tea and smoothies by Tea Time.

Fall Fest Pumpkin Carving Contest

Show off your artistic skills and pumpkin carving skills at downtown Rochester's first ever Fall Fest Pumpkin Carving Contest! Three winners will be chosen, and each will receive a $25 gift card to a downtown business of their choosing and recognition on the Downtown Rochester website. Entry into contest requires pre-registration via online form. Form and details available at DowntownRochesterMN.com/FallFest. Limited to the first 25 carvers.
