Rochester Downtown Alliance Announces New Community Engagement Manager
ROCHESTER, Minn.---February 27, 2017---The Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Cassandra Linkenmeyer. Linkenmeyer will serve as the RDA’s Community Engagement Manager.
Linkenmeyer joins the RDA after serving as the Youth & Family Program Coordinator at the Rochester Family Y. Prior to her time with The Y, she served as the Special Event Manager for National MS Society, Upper Midwest Chapter. Linkenmeyer holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Iowa and a Masters of Education from the University of St. Thomas.
In her role as the Community Engagement Manager, Linkenmeyer will manage the RDA’s core event portfolio, which includes over 30 days of event programming through nine events.
“We are pleased to be welcoming Cassandra to the team,” said RDA Executive Director Jenna Bowman. “She brings the necessary skill set and experience to successfully serve in the position. Even more important, Cassandra brings the passion and commitment necessary to move our event portfolio to the next level. This is coupled with a strong desire and commitment to improvement and building our stakeholder relations,” Bowman said.
When asked what Linkenmeyer is most excited about with this opportunity, she shared, “What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to work with the amazing businesses, organizations, and individuals in downtown Rochester. The events showcase the energy and vibrancy of the downtown community, and I'm thrilled to help continue and advance the great work of the RDA.”
Linkenmeyer will start with the RDA on Monday, March 6.
